5-year frame warranty

We stand behind the stability of our Rockbike Rumble. That's why, when you purchase a new Rockbike Rumble, you receive a voluntary 5-year warranty on the main frame.

The frame warranty protects you against certain material and manufacturing defects that lead to structural damage to the main frame or its permanently attached welds during the warranty period.

This warranty applies in addition to your statutory defect rights. The following conditions transparently explain which damages are covered, which parts are not covered by the frame warranty, and how to report a potential warranty claim.

Our Warranty Promise

Rockbike provides a warranty for the main frame of the Rockbike Rumble for 5 years from the date of bike handover.

The warranty covers structural material and manufacturing defects in the main frame that occur during normal and intended private use.

Covered by the Frame Warranty

  • the load-bearing main frame of the Rockbike Rumble,
  • the welds permanently attached to the main frame,
  • cracks due to a demonstrable material defect,
  • breakages due to a demonstrable material defect,
  • structural damage due to a manufacturing or processing defect.

It is crucial that the damage was not caused by an accident, overloading, modification, improper use, or any other of the excluded causes listed below.

What is included in the frame?

For the purposes of this warranty, the frame exclusively refers to the load-bearing, permanently welded main frame of the Rockbike Rumble, including its permanently attached frame welds.

Attachments and interchangeable components are not parts of the frame, even if they are mounted on the frame.

Which parts are not covered by the 5-year frame warranty?

The 5-year warranty refers exclusively to the main frame. It is not a warranty for the entire e-fatbike.

In particular, the frame warranty does not cover:

  • battery and charger,
  • motor, controller, sensors, and electrical wiring,
  • display and control elements,
  • suspension fork, handlebars, stem, and headset bearings,
  • rims, spokes, hubs, axles, and bearings,
  • tires and inner tubes,
  • brakes, brake discs, brake pads, and brake lines,
  • chain, sprockets, crank, pedals, and gears,
  • seat and other attachments,
  • lighting, reflectors, mudguards, and stand,
  • paintwork, coating, decals, and optical surfaces.

For defects in these components, statutory defect rights may exist independently of this frame warranty.

Which damages are excluded?

The frame warranty does not apply if the frame damage is due to one of the following causes:

  • normal wear and tear or age-related signs of use,
  • accidents, falls, collisions, or external force,
  • jumps, stunts, races, or improper use,
  • overloading or exceeding the permissible total weight,
  • improper assembly, repair, or maintenance,
  • technical changes, tuning, or modifications to the frame construction,
  • drilling, welding, or other processing of the frame,
  • use of unsuitable or incompatible components,
  • corrosion due to improper storage or persistent lack of maintenance,
  • damage due to fire, floods, chemicals, or other extraordinary influences,
  • improper transport or insufficiently secured conveyance,
  • commercial rental or comparably intensive commercial use.

An exclusion only applies if the respective circumstance was the cause of the reported damage.

Who can claim the frame warranty?

The warranty applies to the original purchaser of a new Rockbike Rumble purchased directly from Rockbike or an expressly authorized Rockbike dealer.

For processing, a suitable proof of purchase, the order number, and the frame number or serial number are required.

The warranty does not apply to used bikes, display models, or resold vehicles, unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing at the time of purchase.

Warranty period and territorial scope

The warranty period is five years. It begins with the handover or delivery of the Rockbike Rumble to the original purchaser.

Territorial scope of the warranty: [INSERT GERMANY OR THE ACTUAL TERRITORIAL SCOPE].

The start of the warranty period is determined by the handover or delivery date documented in the invoice or in the delivery documents.

How do I report a warranty claim?

If you suspect structural damage to the frame, the bike must not be ridden further for safety reasons until it has been inspected.

Please report the potential warranty claim to our customer service before attempting any repair yourself:

  • Email: [INSERT SERVICE EMAIL]
  • Subject: Rockbike Rumble Frame Warranty

Please send us the following information:

  • full name and address,
  • order or invoice number,
  • frame number or serial number,

  • clear close-up photos of the damaged area,
  • information on how and when the damage occurred.

Please do not send the bike or individual components unsolicited. Our customer service will inform you about the next steps after the initial check.

What benefits do you receive in a recognized warranty claim?

If a material or manufacturing defect covered by the warranty is found, the warranty service will be provided to the customer free of charge.

Rockbike will decide, considering the type of damage, between:

  • a professional repair of the frame, if this is technically and safely possible,
  • the exchange of the frame for a defect-free frame,
  • the provision of a technically equivalent replacement frame,
  • or another solution of at least equal value.

Necessary transport, material, and labor costs of the warranty service, previously agreed upon with Rockbike, will be covered by Rockbike in a recognized warranty claim.

If the original frame model or original color is no longer available, a technically equivalent frame or an equivalent version may be used.

No repair without prior agreement

Repairs, welding, or replacement of the frame must be agreed upon with Rockbike in advance.

Costs for work that was commissioned or carried out without prior written consent from Rockbike will generally not be covered under the voluntary warranty.

Your statutory defect rights remain unaffected.

Statutory Defect Rights

Consumers have statutory rights in the event of defects in goods. The exercise of these statutory rights is free of charge.

These statutory rights are not limited by this voluntary frame warranty. The warranty exists in addition to the statutory defect rights and can be claimed independently of them.
